Senior Team Movie
The three Senior classes are now well on their way with the production of our movie based on what makes us New Zealanders.
So far Room 11 have followed the following steps on our journey to producing our four segments...
1) Brainstormed ideas of what we thinks make us New Zealanders- Some of the ideas we came up with included gumboots, the DIY attitude, L + P kiwis and more.
2) We then decided what concepts we were going to take and use for our own segments. Some of these involved taking an idea that had already been developed and making minor adjustments to personalise it to us. The other idea was to take an existing theme and rewrite the story behind it to make it our own.
3) When we had our ideas we researched our ideas and concepts so we had a thorough understanding of what we needed to include such as the language, themes and backgrounds. We then set about and brainstormed what we were going to write in our own scripts. Then the real work begun.....
4) We then set about writing our scripts for our segments. This involved four separate groups which sat down and put their head together to come up with something amazing. They wrote, proofread and edited a number of times until their scripts were at a point they were happy with.
5) We now had a scripts and knew what we were going to be presenting and acting. We made decisions about which group we would like to be a part of and as a group decided what roles we would take on within this such as actor, camera person, director etc.
6) Our next job was to sit down as a group and decide on how we were going to film our scenes. Some of us looked at the videos of the ones we made minor changes to and used these to help us decide what shots we would take. Others of us had to start from scratch and think about what type of shot would work best. it was a difficult task when we didn't have the scene being acted out in front of us. We had to do a lot of imagining and deciding between different shot types but we got there.
7) We are now at the point of preparing for filming.....
